Location Campbell River, British Columbia. Quiet and peaceful and beautiful location on Vancouver Island. Unfortunately, there is a 5K dirt road drive to get to the resort, but once there they have a do it yourself RV wash and paved camping sites right on the water. Spectacular at night when the cruise ships go by or in the morning when the eagles soar and the dear roam.

There is a harbor adjacent to the RV sites that has a seafood restaurant, boats to take you fishing or whale watching, and trails to hike. We saw bald eagles every day and enjoyed watching the passing fishing boats, ferries and the occasional cruise ship on its way to and from Alaska, sailing up the Discovery Passage between the resort and Quadra Island.

Offered in season, we enjoyed an all-you-can-eat Dungeness crab feast at the marina restaurant. Campground Tips We liked staying on the lower north sites as they are waterfront. Select from any of the RV sites on the "lower north side" only. The 3-kilometer gravel road from the main road to the resort was no problem for our Unity, just take it slow. Nearby Attractions The town of Campbell River has several very good restaurants and an active waterfront.

Well kept, quiet campground with deluxe campsites. Location Whitecourt, Alberta. Located on MacLeod Lake, with good facilities and excellent trout fishing. Location Chesley, Ontario. A family orientated facility featuring a pool, mini golf, 2 halls, plentiful washrooms, plenty of activities for kids, pot lucks at least once a month, fireworks, and Sunday church worship. The park is situated on beautiful Kluane Lake and all sites have lake view. The owners are former RV'rs and are very accommodating.

Trees and shrubs are all nicely pruned. Roads are nicely maintained. All sites are level and include a table and fire pit. There is an outside deck with tables and chairs attached to the office for those who wish to use it.

Oh My, There's Nothing Here!

After many years of RVing, this is most certainly our favorite campground. Submitted By John Barker. Location Maple Creek, Saskatchewan. Location Jenner, Alberta. The weather is often hot and dry and the park features a nice canteen and a great museum. You can can camp year round and the park offers free WiFi and Guided Tours. Campground Tips Camp along the cliff side or along the river.

S is the best site. Its location is very isolated from the rest of the grounds. Close to the historic town of Maple Creek and the beautiful Cypress Hills. Submitted By Norman Lavoy. Location Radium, British Columbia. A beautiful, full service campground with beautiful views, Natural Hot Springs Pool, hiking trails and golf courses. Campground Tips There are three levels but we like the full service Deluxe campsites. This Canadian National Park campground is an absolute treasure: spacious wooded sites, short walk to the pebbled Gaspe beach, magnificent views and more.

Our site for 2 days in was C providing easy access to the beach path and a magnificent view of the sunrise on the cliffs bordering the park. Star viewing at night was magnificent. Location Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.

Geography of Vancouver Island

The campground is located within the City of Yellowknife - the location is ideal. Sites have 30 amp power and a dump station and fresh water is available within the park. The washroom and showers are excellent. Sites are large and reasonably level which makes setting up easy.

  • Tours of the Legislature are worthwhile, shopping opportunities are plentiful and there are a number of unique eating establishments. There is a museum that is worth a visit. Yellowknife is worth a visit.

    Quintessential west coast forest. Lush, shady, green, and very well maintained. Just 16 km 10 mi from Victoria. Campground Tips There are some upgraded playgrounds and a kids' bike track near sites and It's a really big park -- over sites, all recently upgrade, and I don't think there's a bad site.
