Just to reiterate, these are just my observations, I have no idea if it's true, but maybe some other people who use these apps can confirm or give further insight. I haven't tried OkCupid or Match yet, so maybe someone else can give some insight to those. At least, that's the rumour. I've had good success on POF and have been with my boyfriend for over 5 years now I'm a lady.
Didn't try any other apps, didn't take the whole thing too seriously.

One thing with POF is that it was born and raised in Vancouver, so it probably has more of a foothold. Some of my friends use tinder but they're not looking for long term. The dating and hookup apps suck ass now a days. I used to enjoy reading profiles on sites like Okcupid and POF. Now it's all about "she's ugly, swipe left".
