Worth a stop for lunch : And even though it's a truck stop it is very nice and clean inside and they have the nicest bathrooms around seriously, they won an award for them. Truckers usually know the best places for a good meal and the Antrim Truck Stop in Arnprior is no exception. Stop in on your way along Highway 17 or plan a nice "day trip" to the "Prior" Arnprior from Ottawa. You'll be pleasantly surprised - friendly service, comfort food and a fabulous bakery.

Even a wonderful gift shop - I had trouble pulling myself away, there were so many nice gift ideas. In the restaurant I had the soup of the day, chicken with rice, which was piping hot and delicious and a jumbo hot dog - split and nicely grilled and on what looked like a freshly baked bun. My partner had the all day breakfast which was typical for most diners except for the delicious multigrain toast, made on site!
