Bud Thomas were the predecessors to Peter Stinson when the funeral home was located at Commercial Avenue.
Stinson Funeral Home was later relocated to its present location at Bruce Avenue.
The funeral home is currently a second generation family owned and operated business that proudly supports the Porcupine and surrounding areas through various channels. This includes the creation of The Community Involvement Bursary which is awarded annually. Throughout the past years, during the economical ups and downs the funeral home has always been a constant. This is because of the strong support shown by our community. Our support in your time of need does not end after the funeral services. The best part about it was the soft pillowy white bath robes hung in the closet for guests to use after the jacuzzi. Can not wait to go back! The hotel is family owned and they really go out of their way to make you feel welcome and aware of all the services they offer.
They really take hospitality to a much higher level. The hotel stinks, must have been professionally cleaned years ago. Horrible bed. Totally overpriced. Poor quality. Breakfast was great; nice and fresh. The hotel is modern on the inside, the bed was comfy, room was cozy and clean! Hotel and room very clean and staff very friendly and helpful.
