SUCRERIE DU TERROIR, Val-des-Monts - Menu, Prices & Restaurant Reviews - Tripadvisor

Electricity Fireplace Linens Provided. Evaluation pending. Region: Outaouais. City: Val-des-Monts. Okay, so we ate here on April 6th , a party of 3 adults and one baby. To get right into it, as the waitress was serving us our first course steaming hot pea soup , she accidentally spilled her tray of pea soups all over We were extremely disappointed by the lacklustre and borderline abusive treatment that we received from the staff at the Sucrerie du Terroir. At the beginning of the meal, a waitress accidentally spilt three bowls of steaming hot soup all over me.

I fully recognize that The food is homemade and the portions are huge. The ambience is cozy and friendly. The staff are very welcoming and Do you really like sitting at a table with dozens of people to have a sugar shack meal?

The Sucrerie is set in a quaint 19th century house with family-size tables. The food is truly traditional. After going to large establishments for years, I like the charm, quality and ease of this restaurant. You have a reservation time, you show up, they serve you great homemade food, right down to the bread.

So easy to get to from Aylmer or Ottawa, It was almost a special occasion with family and extended family and was an interesting experience. It was crowded but the service was good and the food tasty. Simply fantastic on every level!!! Location was perfect, rustic, in the country side, ideal for a cosy family evening.

There were 15 of us, family and friends, kids and adults. Everybody had a wonderful time. Food was great, there was a lot and the whole We visited the Sucrerie du Terroir at the recommendation of a friend who said the food was all home made and a cut above, making it worth the price. We went expecting the usual Sugar Bush experience and that is not really what was offered This place is lovely and in the Gatineau hills not too far from Ottawa. The colours of fall are spectacular here and this place runs a sugar bush breakfast in the spring - with maple syrup.

There are several areas to explore in and around Food is good and as it can be expected from a sugar schack. But service is way below standard: takes forever to be served and once food is finally on the table, it's as if you're forgotten: we had to "find someone" to get more This site uses cookies to improve your experience, to enhance site security and to show you personalised advertising. The foliage was gorgeous.

The ziplines were so much fun! We will be back. We have been here before and loved it, but our guide Woody made it even more fun for us. You can tell he really loves his job and encouraging to everyone no matter their skill level. For us, who are more advanced, he would challenge us to try different ways to complete the trek. We did the Loulou la loutre course and the scenic cave tour. We were told to arrive 30 minutes before our start time.

Blue Paradise

The staff did not provide us much guidance at the onset. This time is meant to sign the consent forms and get your bracelet. The cave tour does involve climbing a very long and steep cold and slightly wet metal ladder inside the cave which can be a bit challenging for younger kids. The cave tour took a little iver an hour then we git 30 minutes to have a smack and suit up for the tree trecking. There are plenty of picnic tables to have a picnic on site. Our guide for the trecking was Woody and he was phenomenal. Helped and encouraged everyone throughout the course.

Great family activity for a group for kids of various age as this is the only tree trecking place which has a kids course which allowed by little one to enjoy the activity with the family. The only negative is that Arbraska does not offer family rates of any kind which makes it a very expensive activity which only lasts a few hours.
