I apologetically admit that I was not aware that La Route des Vins was so well developed and well worth a visit. You must take at least 2 or 3 days to travel through the area and visit the 22 certified wineries on the route. Scenery is beautiful, eateries are very good in most towns, and some of the wineries are outstanding like La Halte des Pelerins, Vignoble du Ruisseau, Domaine Les Brome, and Chateau des Cartes. Good wine, spectacular panorama! Then we stopped in Cowansville for some pate, cheese and fruit and head up to Domaine Brome, Leon Courville.
We were greeted by a very pleasant young man who helped us select a couple of wines to taste that would go with our picnic. We chose the Vidal which we found to be a very satisfying white wine that can compete with whites from more well known wine regions!
